CARD is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) established and registered as a Society under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975 at Pudukkottai in Tamilnadu State. CARD is also registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) 1976. CARD is also registered with the Commissioner of Income Tax, Tiruchirappalli under section 12AA and 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.
CARD is a NGO promoting the health condition of men, women and children in rural areas, enabling the disadvantaged school children and college students to access to quality education and promoting the economic status poor needy women.
The area of operation of CARD is within India. For the present, CARD is working in Pudukkottai and Karur Districts of Tamil Nadu. CARD had successfully completed projects in Cuddalore, Sivganga, Madurai and Virudhunagar Districts of Tamil Nadu
